Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director, international Energy Agency

Dr. Fatih Birol has served as Executive Director of the International Energy Agency since September 2015. Under his leadership, the IEA has
undertaken its first comprehensive modernisation programme since its creation in 1974. This effort focuses on three pillars: opening the doors of the IEA to include major emerging countries, such as Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa who have joined the IEA family, thus increasing its share of global energy demand from 38% to almost 75%.

H.E. Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO, ENOC Group

In his role as Chief Executive Officer of ENOC Group, His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi spearheads the implementation of the Group’s business growth strategy and operational excellence locally and internationally, in alignment with the vision and plans of the Government of Dubai. In 2019, H.E. Al Falasi received the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the inaugural Middle East Energy Awards for his immense contributions to the energy sector.  He also received an honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering by Heriot-Watt University in Dubai as a recognition to his four decades of significant contribution to the energy industry in the region.

Ms. Damilola Ogunbiyi, CEO, SEforALL & Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All

Before joining SEforALL, Damilola Ogunbiyi was the first female Managing Director of the Nigerian Rural Electrification. She was also responsible for the Energizing Education Programme which will provide uninterrupted electricity to 37 federal universities and seven teaching hospitals through off-grid captive power. She previously worked as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Power and Head of the Advisory Power Team (APT) in the Office of the Vice President.

Ms. Dymphna van der Lans, CEO, Clean Cooking Alliance

Dymphna van der Lans is the Chief Executive Officer of the Clean Cooking Alliance. She brings more than 25 years of experience managing and leading global development, energy, and climate initiatives in the nonprofit and
private sectors. Most recently, she led international corporate engagement with the World Wildlife Fund’s Climate & Energy team. Previously, she worked with the Clinton Foundation as CEO of the Clinton Climate Initiative and has served as the senior director for public policy programs at the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
