2020 / E-LPG WEEK

The primary aim of the Global Technology Conference (GTC) is to showcase the most innovative and original technological ideas and other developments from around the world that can create new opportunities for the LPG industry. It brings the LPG industry together, represented by all its stakeholders, from research entities to academic partners, LPG producing companies to LPG equipment manufacturers, LPG distributors as well as the total LPG supply distribution chain and beyond it. The preceding Global Technology Conferences that took place in Chicago, Seoul, Madrid, Doha, Bali, London, Miami, Singapore, Florence, Marrakech, Houston, and Amsterdam were extremely successful and included presentations from all corners of the world. Typically, over 200 delegates attend GTC.

GTC2020 will take place as part of e-LPG Week with three sessions on November 3rd, 4th & 5th.

Why Submit a Paper?

All accepted papers and presenters will receive significant benefits and visibility, including:

Important Dates

Phase I

  • Call for abstracts: 27th January 2020 (submission guidelines and template here)
  • Submission of abstract by 10th July 2020
  • Acceptance/rejection of abstract to authors: 24th July 2020

 

Phase II

  • Submission of PowerPoint presentation: 28th August 2020
  • Presentation of Paper at GTC2020: 3rd, 4th and 5th November 2020

GTC Innovation Awards

The prestigious WLPGA Innovation Award is given to the most outstanding paper. Additional Awards are also given to subject category winners. With a wealth of benefits to the winners, this is an opportunity not to be missed for everyone developing innovative technology. The Innovation Awards will be granted to the GTC2020 winners chosen from the papers that will be presented during the e-LPG Week in 2020.

PlasMerica, an American company focused on transforming methane into renewable propane, won the prestigious 2019 Innovation Award at GTC2019 in Amsterdam. The winning paper, ‘Sustainable, renewable propane through energy transformation’ described how this proprietary technology converts methane from a greenhouse gas into renewable LPG, a clean, environmentally sound non-greenhouse gas that helps address climate change.
